5 Best Animal Rescue foundations in the world

Updated: Jul 19, 2021

Hello Amazing people out there ! Not sure if I have mentioned in my blog before but I am very skeptical when it comes to donations. Alot of times in the past I felt that donations and charities does not serve its purpose as it should be and lots of money is spent in unnecessary tasks.

Therefore, last year I did some research and came up with few organisations who are very honest about their work and the results can be seen in social media pages and shelters. I was blown away by the work they are doing towards animal welfare and pet rescue and happily established my small quarterly donations towards them.

The reason I always contribute my money towards animal rescue and welfare is because animals are innocent, they are most vulnerable living beings who cant help themselves most of the times and they cant express their pain and emotions. Therefore we should be responsible and help strays as much as we can.

Also since we all work hard to earn money, we should not be wasting it for donating it towards organizations included in foul play.

When I started working I wanted to spend a small amount of my income for quarterly donation and realised that animals are one of the most needy living beings around us. Also, adopting Rya has changed my perspective so much about animals and I researched all the ways I can help them in different ways like donation, volunteering etc.

Moving on , below are some of the Animal rescue organizations you can check on social media and check their amazing work for welfare of animals. You dont necessarily have to donate anything but at least you can read , share and appreciate the work done by them. My mission is to enlightened more and more people towards animal rescue stories so that they never hesitate to help an animal in need.

1) Four Paws - They are a strong, global and independent voice for animals under direct human influence. Their vision is a world where people treat animals with respect, empathy and understanding. They have been working globally in Cambodia, vietnam, China etc and have saved hundreds of lions, bears , dogs, cats from the clutches of human tradies.

Specially in the times like this where humanity is facing such a big threat of Coronavirus which started basically from the meat market in Wuhan, China. The suffering of wild animals in these markets in the hands of human beings are intolerable. Therefore I really appreciate the work Four Paws are doing and you can check it yourself in their facebook page.

2) Barn Sanctuary - Barn Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected farmed animals by creating a safe haven where these individuals can recover,

thrive, and serve as an example for why they strive to lead society towards a plant-based lifestyle. They are based in the US and have saved hundreds of farm animals as they are the most abused and neglected group of animals in the world. We need more Barn Sanctuary in the world.

3) Animal Aid India - Animal Aid Unlimited saves animals through street animal rescue, spay/neuter and education. Their mission is dedicated to the day when all living beings are treated with compassion and love.

Being born and raised in India I could not agree more that we have one of largest number of strays being abused every single day. I am so proud of this organizations who takes care of injured and abused stray animals in India.

4) Freedomforanimals UK - They believe all animals should live free from exploitation, harm and captivity. This is one wonderful organization working with lawyers and several countries to free wild animals working in circuses, entertainment and other kinds of captivity by human.

5) Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary - They are my personal favorite rescue and their afternoon tour in facebook live is one which I always look forward to. Blind Cat Rescue was started in 2005 in St Pauls, NC (USA) by a mother and daughter team to answer the need for a safe place for blind cats that were deemed not adoptable by regular shelters. These cats were going to be killed just because they were blind.

Blind Cat Rescue also built a second shelter to provide a safe place for Leukemia positive (FELV+) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+) cats who otherwise would be killed because they tested positive for these viruses. They are a registered non-profit in the state of North Carolina(USA). Do follow their facebook page(link provided above), check out their live tours and see for yourself how beautiful these special need cats are.

So here are my 5 most favourite and cherished animal welfare websites. You can continuously check their work on Instagram and facebook. I would also request anyone who have some money to spare please donate it to these organizations.

Signing off now,

please believe in kindness, empathy and well-being of each other.

Yours,

Saba :)
